- Does this cost me anything?
- No, it's free to you. There's no charge to use ReconNest or to be introduced to a mortgage broker, and you negotiate your own rate and terms with whoever you choose to work with.
- Do you get paid for the referral?
- No. A home loan is a settlement service, and federal law (RESPA) bars a referral fee for one. We make the introduction because it helps the people we build reports for, not because anyone pays us for it.
- Are you a lender?
- No. We are not a mortgage broker or a lender, and we do not represent you. We point you to someone we trust and then step back, so you can decide if they are the right fit.
- Who will I be connected with?
- A mortgage broker or loan officer we know personally, or a strong one from our referral network, matched to where you are buying. We only introduce people we would be comfortable sending our own family to.
- What if ReconNest doesn't cover my state yet?
- That's fine. The broker connection works anywhere in the US, including states where our property reports are not live yet.
